The Dream It. Do It. Minnesota Statewide Tour of Manufacturing is an opportunity for schools, families, and the general public a chance to see how modern manufacturing is high-tech and innovative.
Tours take place throughout the month of October, however most tours will occur during Minnesota Manufacturing Week, October 1-7.
“The students [had] opportunities to explore jobs beyond what they see around them or what their parents do on a daily basis. … the kids left inspired to weld or learn computer aided drawing or work there for money while they assisted in paying for college in the area of manufacturing and/or sales. …The kids [learned] about different types of welding and how much training is needed to be in specific areas. Our students greatly benefited from these experiences!”

Dream It. Do It. Minnesota is led by 360 Manufacturing Center of Excellence. 360 develops the future workforce through Dream It. Do It. Minnesota.As a consortium of 15 institutions led by Bemidji State University and includes 14 other technical and community colleges, 360 is designing a 21st century education system that prepares individuals to have rewarding careers in manufacturing and meets the needs of the region’s manufacturing employers through an enhanced pipeline, industry-driven curriculum, and authentic assessment.

This group of 300+ manufacturers came to Dream It. Do It. Minnesota in April 2012 to help bring the campaign statewide. Their funding and support has helped us drive our message all across Minnesota. Having been around for over 60 years, MPMA has a ton of initiatives to keep good people coming to the industry.
